I usually go to the three main anime conventions in the DC area:

Katsucon in February,

Otakon in summer, and

AnimeUSA in the fall.

These conventions are the most fun, because they’re local and I don’t have to spend a lot of money travelling!  I do stay at a hotel in Baltimore for Otakon, though, since the commute would be to onerous from my apartment…
